When an applicant with a legal person status prepares his product for sale to the world market, the product shall conform to the IEC standards adopted in the CB system during the development and design stage, and the differences in IEC standards among CB member countries shall be taken into account.Prior to submission of applications and samples, verify that the product complies with IEC safety standards and relevant country standards of the exporting country and arrange for testing of the differences.

For components tested with the complete machine, the test report shall be attached to the complete machine report. For components separately tested or certified, the applicant shall provide a part of the test report showing detailed information such as product specifications, applicable standards and/or a copy of the certification certificate.

If the information clearly indicates that the component has been tested in accordance with IEC standards or in coordination with IEC standards, the approval will be granted. If the applicant cannot provide the relevant part of the test report and/or certification certificate, the approval will not be granted.

Notes for application of CB test certificate:

1. Apply for national difference test: explain the country/region to CQC and CBTL before applying, so that the certification body can help to understand the national standard difference and arrange the difference test in time.

2. When applying for CB test certificate, several factory sites of the product can be covered at the same time.

3. A CB certificate can only correspond to one trademark brand.
