C - Tick certification

A/c-tick is A certification mark issued by the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) for Communications equipment. Manufacturers and importers must follow the following steps to use A/ c-tick:

1. Product execution of ACAQ technical standard test

2. Register with ACA to use A/ c-tick

3. Fill in the "Declaration of Conformity Form" and keep it with the product Conformity record

4. Label with A/ c-tick mark on communication products or devices

5, sales to consumers a-tick is only applicable to communications products, most electronic products are applied for c-tick, but if electronic products apply for a-tick, then do not need to apply for c-tick. Since November 2001, Australia/New Zealand EMI has applied for merger; If the product is to be sold in these two countries, the following documents must be prepared for spot check by ACA (Australian Communications Authority) or Ministry of Economic Development (New Zealand) authorities at any time before marketing.

C-tick spot check precautions

1. Test report - must be issued by NATA or an accredited laboratory accredited by NATA, such as NVLAP or A2LA, otherwise the sample is required to be sent for testing with high probability.

"Application to use the c-tick Mark" Form - must be signed by an Australian/New Zealand company or importer.

3. "Supplier's Declaration of Conformity" Form - must be signed by the Australian/New Zealand company or importer. The signatory manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that the products sold are still in compliance with EMI regulations.

4. Original design drawings and specifications (e.g., circuit diagram, block diagram, User's Manual, Service Manual, etc.).

5. Describe the production inspection procedures to ensure the maintenance of EMI characteristics.

6. Any change description and necessary test records that may affect EMI.

Certification marks

The c-tick mark must be marked with the information of the Australian supplier as required so that ACA can effectively trace back to the supplier responsible for the product EMC when sampling the product on the market. The identification of the information includes the contents of the four sides:

1. Registered name and address of Australian supplier.

2. Australian Company Number 3. Number issued to Australian supplier by ACA.

4. An Australian registered trademark used in the Australian market.

Product range

According to the compulsory emc product catalogue issued by the government in 2001, the main products involved are:

Industrial, scientific and technological, medical (ISM) equipment, audio and video equipment;

● household electrical equipment;

● power tools and heating appliances;

● lighting and similar equipment;

● information technology equipment.

Products that do not require application are:

● devices manufactured outside Australia and not for sale in Australia;

● devices imported from New Zealand and sold in Australia and in compliance with New Zealand regulations;

Products not in the scope of application.

C-tick certification information preparation:

1. Full name and detailed contact address of the manufacturer and the applicant of the product for certification.

2. A copy of the installation and operation manual of the certified product will be provided to the user. (if the product does not have a user manual, a draft copy of the relevant content can be provided)

3. Product electrical schematic diagram and working principle description.

2. The working oscillation frequency table of the product shall list the signal propagation path and the corresponding oscillation frequency in the table.

5. Other product features that need to be explained.

Unless otherwise specified, please provide the above information in English;

Note (a-tick sold to consumers is only applicable to communication products, most electronic products are applied for c-tick, but if electronic products apply for a-tick, there is no need to apply for c-tick.)
