The SAA is an electrical product that enters the Australian market subject to local safety regulations, which are often referred to in the industry as Australian safety certification. There are mainly two kinds of marks of SAA, one is formal recognition and the other is standard mark. Proforma certification is subject to sample only, while standard labeling is subject to factory audit for each. At present, there are two ways to apply for SAA certification in China, one is through CB test report transfer, if there is no CB test report, you can also directly apply.

Saa certification process:

Step 1: send the product information as follows:

1. Operating voltage

2. Current wiring

3. Company information of material brand (usually required for cases of direct application)

4. Company name, contact person, contact number

5. List of key components (usually required for cases of direct application)

6. Certificate of key components

7. User's manual (English manual or manual in the certified language)

8. Plug Test Report (AU Plug Test Report required by SAA)



Step 2: the SAA staff routinely sends a written price list within 1 business day and informs them of the number of technical documentation boxes to be prepared for test samples.



Step 3: you provide the technical materials and samples as required, and fill out the SAA certification application form and the SAA certification contract.

Step 4: product test and test report preparation, report approval.



Step 5: the Australian head office issues the SAA certificate.



Step 6: add SAA certificate number on the product nameplate.



Step 7: after-sales service, SAA certificate extension.

Notes for saa certification:

1. Components of Australian certified products are generally UL and VDE certified. If the products are equipped with power cords and plugs, only plugs and cables certified by "SAA" are accepted and valid certificates are required.

2. The product is equipped with power supply. If the power supply is independent, the power supply must have a separate "SAA" certification and a valid certificate. If the power supply is built in, it can be either "SAA" or CB certified, or it can be tested randomly with the entire product.

3. Mobile products must be equipped with power cord and plug.

4. The number of models should not be too much, the more models, the easier it will be to take the differences. It is difficult to provide the class table and model differences and easy to take the photos.

5. Before the accept the SAA cases, different products have different requirements, in view of the customer to product introduction and the related information, it is a good idea to confirm the product standard and the scope of CNAS and ask the related engineer whether this product can do, and then a concrete analysis for specific products and specific quotation, otherwise due to the limited items or the limited standard is easy to cause the case to continue.
