How to deal with COC?

PVoC (pre-export Verification of Conformity to Standards), which is compulsory certification, is used for customs clearance at the importer's destination port.The PVoC certificate should be processed by the exporter before shipment.All goods in the PVoC catalogue must obtain the CoC certificate of compliance issued by the national bureau of standards before shipment.


Countries to certify: currently government regulated countries include Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Qatar, Botswana, Bangladesh, Iraq, Ghana, Zimbabwe, etc.

(CoC) certification process:

 

Step 1: submit proforma invoice, packing list and completed application Form Request for Certificate Form (RFC)

Step 2: the above application form should provide details of the goods and product quality documents such as test report, technical parameters, quality management system certificate, etc

Step 3: the PVoC determines the feasible implementation plans and applicable standards under the plan

Step 4: if testing is required, our company shall coordinate sampling and carry out laboratory testing, which shall be carried out by a laboratory approved by PvoC

Step 5: the on-site inspection will be carried out by the inspection company nearest to the inspection site after the above steps are completed, and all expenses will be borne by the exporter.

Step 6: after the inspection is completed, the exporter submits the final documents (commercial invoice and packing list) to the PVoC office

Step 7: Kenya PVoC office issues customs clearance certificate CoC (certificate of registration and formal approval)
